Doctor Jean Marie Egargo, Department of Health (DOH) Representative here reported that come May 13, some 166 nurses under the RN-HEALS program will be deployed to the different rural health units (RHUs) of the province.
This after they have attended the Orientation Program on the same day and have accomplished the needed records, i.e. TIN number, PhilHealth, and ATM cards.
She also said that these registered nurses have one year insurance which is shouldered by DOH.
As before, the professional health workers can expect a monthly salary – from DOH, P8,000 apart from the P2,000 incentive being granted by the municipal local government unit where she is deployed at. But she said that not all LGUs are financially capable to give the said amount.
RN-HEALS nurses are sent to far flung barangays as one of DOH’s programs to increase services on maternal and child health.
