For those who are taking the board examinations this coming July, it is best to meet the composition of the honorable board of nursing. Why? They will be the ones who will give the test questions for you to get a license. A brief background about them and what are their “major topics” may help you become an RN. Now Meet the Philippine Board of Nursing:

Carmencita M. Abaquin RN, MAN

Chariman, Board of Nursing

• Carmencita M. Abaquin is a nurse with a Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of the Philippines College of Nursing where she served as a faculty member and a secretary of the UP College of Nursing.
• She is an expert in Medical-Surgical nursing and Oncologic Nursing. Thus her focuses are regarding these subjects.
• She developed the “PREPARE ME” theory that is concerned about Hoslitic nursing Interventions to address the problems of a cancer patient.

Betty F. Merritt

Leonila A. Faire
