Official Memo from POEA

Release of Shortlisted Applicants

List of successful applicants will be posted at this post: Shortlisted applicants for 500 Filipino Nurses in Germany, TripleWin. See also, Second Batch of Shortlisted Nurse Applicants for Triple Win

    • Still none ya, they said they are still waiting from the German side on what they have to say. But as i’ve seen from mr. Leo’s twitter he said that 22 applicants will be deployed this oct or nov. they’re the ones who got both professional and language skills already. And they had besn duly informed already. As for regular applicants, be patient in waiting..

  1. Ur 1900 Euro monthly is not enough to have decent life in Deutschland. They have HIGH cost of living and have mandatory social insurances to be paid…..

plus Discrimination among Asians….so be it, GO there!

    • Sorry to tell you, Ma’am, submission of Applications have already ended last June 30, 2013 and two lists of shortlisted candidates have already been released. However, they’re probably doing the same thing again next year for another batch of Nurses to Germany.

Interested applicants have submitted their applications at POEA main office directly during the duration of application submission.

    • i agree with u.. sana dun nlng din cla magbase sa shortlisted… otherwise, every year eh dudumugin nnmn ang poea ng mga aspiring applicants… aabot ulit sa 3000 plus applicants then same procedure.. 1st batch or 2nd batch of shortlisted.. then dun ulit pipili ng maiinterview.. tz gnun ulit sa next batch..

  3. As announced by POEA on their fb account today.
    — The employer representatives will draw up the list of applicants who will be scheduled for interview, based on the POEA shortlist endorsed to them. POEA will notify the concerned individual applicants and post the interview list in the website. Please be guided.

  4. yes.. i have seen already… wat is meant by second batch? does it mean 50 applicants will be selected for interview from 1st batch, and also 50 for second batch? from 2500plus shorlisted applicants down to 500…

  5. i think it would be better if the applicants for interview will just inform them thru electronic texting and not to post the whole list unless each applicant do have a code number.. for privacy nmn,,hehe.. and sana to inform couple of days b4 the interview pra may time magprepare lalo na sa mga taga province.. wat do u think guys?

And I think they were aiming to deploy the first batch within the year, sino sa palagay nyo ang ilalagay nila dyan, edi yung marunong ng mag German para ma-interview na agad. Just for the record, hindi ako kasali sa shortlist, ang binabasa ko lang ay mga legit posts coming directly from POEA,GIZ/ZAV, and national news regarding this topic pra mag come up sa logic. And of course being objective.

    • totoo?hehehe.thank you. now we know. pwd bang magtanong uli at magpractice din ng aming right of expression. every1 is entitled naman diba?hehehe.

“German employers have will have all August to draw up the interview list”… after the interview, tsaka pa lan malalaman kung sino yung first batch…

  8. Good morning. I just came up with this on a FB page called “Filipino nurses in Germany”. I thought I had to share this with to you guys.

    10. How does the selection process work?

The Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) reviews the applicant’s formal prerequisites and organises the selection interviews in Manila and possibly other cities, with the support of GIZ. ZAV and POEA have agreed that all applicants must partici- pate in a selection interview which will generally be conducted in German. Selection interviewswith representatives of ZAV take place up to four times a year. The interviews generally last 30 minutes. The aim of the interview is to determine an applicant’s personal, professional and language-related qualifications by means of personal selection in the Philippines. The selection procedure includes a language test. Interested German employers may take part in the selection procedures.
If the selection interview is successful, the applicants commit themselves to participation in the project; they commit to completing the procedure of their vocational certificate in Germany in case of successful placement. They then fill out an application form which serves together with the evidence of the qualifications as the basis for the place- ment process. Source BA

    you’re thoughts??

    • IMO, this is just right as getting into Germany nowadays is truly hard. The selection process isn’t easy as pie, so determining the selected participants through these kinds of interviews and tests will really screen those who stand above the rest in terms of their qualifications and other possible skills.

  9. Hello fellow nurses! I just came from POEA to have my name on the shortlist corrected and I asked if they know when the German representative will choose those for interview, just wait for the announcement was the answer. While I was there I saw a handwritten list with names of applicants and corresponding points. Meron 20, 30, 40 pt and “ok” beside some names. I just happened to glace upon the list and didnt look too long kase nakakahiya naman sabihin ususero ako. But I think this is proof that POEA really did their jobs and evaluated the applicants according to some point criteria (yrs experience, language capability, etc)
I read some reactions kase on fb and twitter, applicants asking why they were not short listed and saying its because of palakasan system. Cguro if in doubt yung applicant pwede naman pumunta sa POEA to see your points/ranking. Hope this will give peace to those who are upset.
Gods plans are always greater than our own, Im sure He wants only the best for all of us.

    • Sa Triple Win mismo ka pumunta.? Gusto ko rin sana pumunta to verify my name.

Hindi nila pinakita ang names mg shortlisted, when i got to the office kase I explained na agad to the lady my situation and handed her my Land Based Worker Registration Card (yung orange card) and PRC ID. She wrote my name in a notebook then went to her computer and corrected my name on the shortlist.
If its not too much of a hassle for you to go to POEA then I suggest you go and have your name corrected. Mabait naman sila and at least you wont be wondering kung may kapangalan ka.

      • Cgeh Salamat. I’ll go tom. Morning. So it means na pagmaylist na for interview aayusin and ichange na nila yung names. Dapat lang talaga!! Ayusin dapat nila pagtype. Para naman hindi tayo magkaproblema.

    • I also feel bad for those who were not on the shortlist, just like my niece.I’d say there must be something much better opportunity out there for them. It’s either they just need to wait for it or to recognize it. All the applicants who submitted their requirements deserve to be on the list ,otherwise POEA wouldn’t have accepted them in the first place. But MAYBE they need to understand that there must have been some other ‘criteria’ POEA was instructed to look for in a candidate aside from those ones posted. My niece has accepted it she thought she deserved to be on the list too but she also knows she might not be lucky enough or “lovable and hardworking” enough to meet the criteria. So it’s better for her to look for other opportunities she’d fit in. :)

      • Yung line para sa Manpower Registry Division? Hindi po, there were only 3 people ahead of me, 2 female nurses na for correction of name sa shortlist, and 1 male applicant, that didnt seem like a nurse, asking for job referral /recommendation.

  10. First of all…CONGRATS to all those that were shortlisted!!!

Secondly…I got this comment from the Filipino Nurses in Germany fb group:

“Sadly for those who had the interview already, not all of them passed… out of 51 Nurses who has B1 und B2 Deutsch Zertifikat, only 35 of them got a callback for an interview… Better cross our Fingers… This is not yet the time to celebrate but a time to prepare ourselves for a bigger challenge ahead… Heads up Nurses!!! We can do it!!!”

So does anyone know if this means those 51 nurses with B1/B2 Zertifikat were already interviewed by the German employer?

How did he know kaya. kasi ang alam ko sabay sabay lahat ang screening (whether may B1certicate ka or wala) mas priority lang sila kasi they’re planning na mag deploy ng nurses this year

      • Tama, pwedeng inuna na clang in evaluate ksi Complete na requirements nila, kya batch by batch yun.

      • Thats the big question!kahit batch by batch pa yan,,eh pagdating sa screening eh sabay sabay,,,malinaw ung memo ng poea,,,

      • Hahaha,,maybe yes,,maybe no,,,hehe,,hay,,looking forward na lang tayo sa next step natin,,best of luck!!

      • yes let’s not dwell on it na lang. And if it is true wala naman tayong magagawa eh. So let’s hope for the best na lang

      • anu kaya naging basehan nila ng shortlisted? kc i know of someone na sa dropbox nagsubmit.. shorlisted xa, pro yung kasabay nya na nagdropvox eh hnd kasali.. 27 xa, pro im not sure kung 35 yung ksama nya..

      • yes ur right.. is there such a thing na may nauuna? to think na meron namang guidelines…

      • thanks for your advice. but i jaz wana know if these 51 nurses are included in 500 nurses who will be deployed at the end of 2014?my point is if they are included, that means the number of nurses who will be selected would be lessened. am i right?

      • If you read the article, they are the first 50 nurses who will be deployed b4 the end of dis year, and then the other batch depends of the performance of the pioneers.

      • so you mean, based on your statement, pagmaganda ang performance ng 50 na pioneers dun pa magdedecide ang germany kung need nila ang another batch. so what’s the use of the agreement ng dalawang bansa na magdedeploy ng 500 nurses at the end of 2014. kung hindi pala mganda ei useless ang paghihintay ng marami?ganun ba?correct me if I’m wrong.pls!

      • That’s why I couldn’t understand that post. Sa pagkaalam natin lahat, wala pa nainterview, and yet in his statement from 51 “who had the interview already…only 35 got a call back for an interview” Di ko rin magets.

    • I guess, if they met ALL the requirements, especially the language proficiency, their cases will be different, i mean, pwede na silang isalang agad ahead of those who are on the shortlist, coz fortunately edge na nila yun.Batch by batch naman yata yun.

      • Pero kung na meet nila yung requirements, including the language proficiency, what could be the reason na hindi sila makapasa? Ano kaya yung interview.

      • I dont think so. Kc dadaan muna lahat sa screening dba? So dapat di sila uuna una. In my case kasi i’ve been learning Deutsch half my life, i finished Realschule=hschool there. I have my german diploma attached to my files… para fair naman, la dapat mauuna kc nasa 1st step pa tau.. dapat sabay2 til the last step… kc pag marunong nn mag german pwede na d mag language training.Dun na pwede cla sa first batch…

      • Exactly, ndi na nila kailangan magtrain coz they have the certificate already, cguro sa nursing orientation nalang– that is, kung nakapasa cla sa interview. And I guess, ndi inuna cla ksi they met ALL the requirements,,ndi nla kailangan maghintay sa iba. And probably na screen cla (pre screening /selection) bago sila nilagay sa selection stage”guess siguro even if someone knowshow to speak German, if they don’t have the Zertifikat’, ndi parin pwede cguro ksi sa list of requirements cla magre rely.

    • Thanks to those who answered my query, I was just confused with what was posted by that individual on Filipino Nurses for Germany.

    • Wag kayong mag alala. Wala pa talagang naiinterview. Nagkamali lang yung nag message sa fb. What he meant was hindi daw lahat nang may B1/B2 Zertifikat ay nasa SHORTLIST.. shortlist ang ibig nyang sabihin. Kc by october pa daw ang interview, sabi ni dir cacdac… ;-)

  11. Wala pa din pala yung shortlisted applicants..hmm, wait lang tayo guys baka tom pa yan. Madami tayong hopefuls…sa mga makukuha congrats! one step closer na yan and madami pang steps na dadaanan but i’m sure the filipino’s always prevail. May next batch pa yan (next year nga lang) other option, try nyo magapply sa ibang bansa other than Germany. Open na ang UK and AU but kailangan ipasa ang madugong IELTS and get 7 on all bonds. For me I applied as a cruise nurse after I passed my AHA bls/acls, for the mean time, hopefully pumasa sa interview^^ Godbless guys!

Sa mga makukuha kudos and congrats! galingan niyo training at performance nyo dun at ipakita niyo what it means to be a filipino nurse. malay niyo pag nagustuhan nila tayo eh maging succesful yung project at kumuha ulit sila next year ng mas madami. sa mga hindi makukuha okay lang yan God has better plans for you. Tiwala lang. =)

  13. NIce…at last next week na malalaman kung shortlisted ako or hindi. Medyo nakakakaba so lets hope na makuha tayo. Godspeed to all of us!! ^^

Try applying to Abu Dhabi (if you have HAAD) as home care nurse, maganda din experience yun since Germany is in need of us nurses in their nursing homes/institutions due to growing aged populations.

@jadedfolk Sir! May I ask if there’s a difference btwn those who reached the 250 quota aplicnts for d day and those who used d dropbox only?

@stipmeistur_ii Nothing, both have an equal chance to qualify. Short list out by next week.

  16. goodluck sa lahat! though i applied in POEA makuha man ako o hindi ok lng since i received already my visa bound to KSA last week,,1 year na ko tambay so ill grab this opportunity since I’ve waited so many months for that visa. God has better plan for you..It does not matter how slow you go so long as you do not stop pursuing you dreams! :) Aja!

  17. Lets just hope that we can see our names on their shortlisted applicants…PRAY hard but Do your part HARDER. Hmm, kung di man ako mashortlist, ok lang..I don’t expect it but I do hope..like they say, never expect..just hope. If it is God’s will then it will come to pass.. Try nyo pa din magapply sa ibang bansa other than Germany or maybe consider applying as a cruise nurse..like I did. Ingat mga kapatid!

      • I applied online. But only a few will answer positively. Most have very demanding requirements. (one emailed me that they are keen to save my cv for they already have the full schedule till the last quarter this year, so probably next year theyre open for hiring again) Goodluck!!^^

      • must have 3 years experience in Acute and emergency setting, with acls card. I got an offer the same day I applied to triple win last june and those were just some of the major requirements they’re asking. I got no acls card but i’m taking it at ccnapi this july 25-26 so probably i can submit that to the agency the following day.

  18. Since we are waiting, let’s talk about mga “pinagkakaabalahan” and mga experiences natin sa POEA.

Ako nagvolunteer ng 1wk sa isang secondary hospital last wk and ngayon patiently waiting.
Iniisip ko if mag sstudy na me ng German dahil 7mos na me vacant. Or hanap muna ng ibang job not related to nursing. I remember tuloy yung time sa POEA na nakapila ako, up to 250 lang ang need dahil may cutoff and pagdating sakin they told me wala na. I was no. 251…..

      • Kaya after ko magsubmit i was really exhausted. Parang most of us here dumaan sa eye of a needle. Whew!

  19. Copied from POEA Ortigas facebook page:

    POEA News Advisory
    5 July 2013

Nurses warned on “fixers” for Germany jobs

POEA Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac yesterday advised Filipino nurses to be wary of unscrupulous persons offering assistance for facilitation of their employment in hospitals in Germany.

The administrator said he received reports that some applicants were approached by fixers promising insertion of their names in the list of candidates to be submitted to Germany for a huge sum of money.

Cacdac said illegal recruiters, scammers, and fixers often exploit publicized overseas employment opportunities like the Employment Permit System in Korea, JPEPA nurses and caregivers for Japan, and now Germany’s Triple Win Program.

He clarified that applicants are selected according to their qualifications and the Federal Employment Agency (BA) through the International Placement Services (ZAV, the authorized agency to recruit Filipino health professionals under the German law, has the final decision in the selection of candidates.

Administrator Cacdac advised jobseekers to report to his office any encounter with fixers, especially if employees of the POEA are involved, at telephone numbers 7221144 and 7221155, [email protected] , facebook.com/poea.official and twitter.com/poeaNews. /END

…fellow nurses be careful, let’s not fall victim to those unscrupulous individuals…

  20. I still don’t know what is their criteria for selecting nurses. Look, this year Germany started to hire nurses from China, they already started their German language training and culture, and will be sent next year, same thing that they will do here in the Philippines. The majority of the selected Chinese applicants are young ones. So for those young nurses who applied for this job, keep your finger crossed.

    • They hired young Chinese nurses mainly because their nursing program is longer than ours. The most easy way to earn a nursing certificate in China is to take up a Three year program equivalent to our Associate degree, they called it Zhuanke Program. Then they also have the Baccalaureate Program which is 4-5 years long this is equivalent to our Bachelor’s Degree. And lastly they have the Graduate program equivalent to our Master’s degree this will take them 3 years to complete. Most nurses in China take up the Zhuanke program, maybe that is the reason why most of the selected nurses to Germany are the younger ones because the old ones are still in school finishing their baccalaureate and graduate program ( just sayin’).No need to stress yourself over things you have no control with. Just like what was mentioned to one of the post here. If it’s for you it’s for you :) have faith and leave everything to God.

  21. whether you were assessed by POEA personnel or you used drop boxes for your application, if it’s God’s plan for you and it’s your destiny to be one of the 500 Filipino nurses to Germany then it’s for you no need to speculate that those people who used the drop boxes won’t be considered. All we have to do is pray and wait. Stop posting things that may discourage other aspiring nurses.

    • I stopped worrying the moment i passed my application. It’s true, if it is God’s will for us to pass, it will be done. No amount of worry or weapon forged by the enemy would prosper against those who put their trust in Him. Even the most qualified applicant will not pass if it’s not meant for him/her. Baka magulat ka pa if majority ng ma-shortlist is walang background ng German. God moves in mysterious ways.

      James 4:6
“God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble.”

      • Same here. Nakaka tulog nako ng mabuti after kong makapag submit. Pero nung sinabing 3rd week of July parang babalik ata insomia ko. hahaha…. GOd bless us all. Sana palarin tayong lahat dito. :D

    • Minsan kasi nakakadala din yong iba..hehe.di mo maiiwasan mag isip. Pero Tama, ka if its for you mangyayari at mangyayari yan. If not, kahit anong pilit mo wala ding mangyayari, I guess we just have to wait for the shortlist. If ever wala, move on, hanap ng ibang opportunity. Pag nasa shortlist, Party hard agad :)

    • Right. Just believe in the power of prayer. Everything is possible. If you can’t make it to the top 500, it’s not your loss, at least you try, it’s means that God is reserving you for a better opportunity.

  22. Guys meron ba kayong update regarding the shortlist of applicants na napili ng poea?kasi diba the language training will be 6 mos and they are aiming to deploy the first batch within this year.

      • naku, oo nga.Mas may edge pala talaga yong may language training no? ssyang dapat pala nagtrain nalang ako nyan habang bum pa ako dati.

      • Wala akong training o kahit anong certificate; but i finished my hschool sa germany, sana naman nkakuha ako ng point doon.

      • Parejo tayo! I don’t have any certificate but I went to high school in Germany. Even though I showed my German report card and told the one assessing my papers that I am willing to be interviewed in German hinanapan pa rin ako ng B1 certificate. I understand that they are being strict because they want to adhere to certain standards, I just hope I get the chance to interview. Anyhow, good luck sa atin lahat!

  23. Maybe they will use the same procedure they did last time with the Japan nurses, allowing only 1.2 times the number of needed nurses to be shortlisted after the verification of complete documents and authenticity of it before they endorsed it to German Embassy for aptitude test and interview, and then the final 500 will reveal.

  24. I think that dropboxes will not add up coz it wasn’t evaluated and verified by the POEA officer since they are strict regarding the original documents, maybe it was just for formality purpose, who knows.

    • yan din ang iniisip ko eh… The assessors were so strict for those who submitted their application personally and then they announce they will put a drop box. Parang double standard pag ganun kc.

      • yeah right.. formality sake…maybe they will be questioned since last submission days is weekend. so they just put drop boxes..

  25. thank you nurselabs and to it’s readers for all the help that you’ve shared. Special mention to ms. nicky jamito caramoan & ms. raisha. the information that you’ve given proved to be invaluable to many aspirants coming from the province such as me. I was able to pass my requirements today quite easily thanks to you guys. After my 12pm – 8pm duty yesterday I immediately headed to POEA. I arrived there at about 11pm (im from Tarlac) and as expected there was already a line. I was no.53 and from there the line just kept on growing and growing. natulog talaga kami sa banketa tapos umulan pa at may sumabog pang kotse?bomba? ewan basta may mga bomb squad pang dumating. what a night! pero okay lang it wasn’t supposed to be easy naman diba? anyway thank you guys and goodluck sa atin lahat. =)

hi. Ive finally submitted my documents to poea and theyve approved and accepted it. my friend and I went t POEA 10pm last night and we were 43rd nd 44th na.. we slept there and waited… bandang 1am nasa 200+ na. tas nung nag 2am.. tas 2am 300 na.. unfortunately mga 250 and up, pinadrop nlng sa box reqts.
anyway, im glad nakapagpasa na ako… atleast all wait wrth it. Fate starts here. wish goodluck to all of us wh passed their reqts!!!!

Thanks to nursesLabs and its readers. i was able to submit my reqts just one time without errors. thanks for posting your experience and added infoo!

  27. I submitted my application at POEA Iloilo earlier today. I Wrote in my CV that I have knowledge of German culture and language. At first, parang impressed naman yung POEA officer, but when she saw my COE, di raw pwede. I was saddened pero buti na lang at accomodating naman yung nag entertain sa akin at yun nga sayang daw, pero staff talaga ang hanap. Goodluck to those of you whose applications were accepted. Viel spass in Deutschland! You can seldom find people who talk English there at kahit marunong, idu-Deutsch ka talaga.

  28. A little update:

POEA Administrator Hans Leo J. Cadac said that POEA will not be open this weekend (29th & 30th) but they’ll leave a DROP BOX in the POEA lobby where nurses can leave their applications.

Just make sure you have the complete requirements by then.

  29. Im interested to apply but i dont have yet my passport…its possible to pass all the required requirements on July? And its possible to ask help from my relatives living in Germany? Pls answer

      • my chance ba na mkuha since my german language is up to B1 pero ang experience ko as staff sa opd lng?tnx

  30. kaya pala “triple win”

The BA’s International Placement Services (ZAV) and GIZ have established a joint project to place 2,000 qualified nurses (from Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Philippines; Tunisia also expected) with German companies by 2014.

The migration from the participating countries of healthcare personnel who can demonstrate a suitably high standard of training presents a wide range of opportunities for everyone involved and generates threefold benefits (‘triple win’):

    1. The labour markets in the countries of origin are relieved.
    2. Migrants’ remittances provide a developmental stimulus in their countries of origin.
    3. The shortage of nurses in Germany is alleviated.

      • meron akong kaibigan nagpadala daw via courier kc may nag sabi sa kanya…. sabi ko dapat mag pass ng personal kc di cgurado yun, dahil chini check ng isa2x ang mga documents kasama ang mga originals, which is impossible pag pinadala mo by courier.

  31. Gud eve po.ask ko lang kung ano po un specific age bracket required? are they very particular about it?.and last po meron po ba nakapagpass na younger or older s given age bracket?sorry madami tanong.i hope someone can help me.salamat po.

  32. Stay alert nurses! Keep your heads up! There may be people who will feed on your desperation to find a job and abuse it! Don’t be afraid to ask questions, it’s better to be sure than sorry, alright? God bless! I hope that everyone who tried applying will pass.

      • binilang din sakin volunteer ko kahit walang allowance..maybe mas maluwag sila nung first week

      • I don’t want to give false hopes pero need to tell what i observed. Kanina may hindi sila inaccept. Ayaw na nila ng volunteer kahit paid. Irritated pa nilang pinag uusapan yung applicant na may volunteer. Hopefully dala lng sana ng pagod. Last wk daw tlaga maluwag and kaunti lng ng aaply.

      • korek..kya nagugulat ako sa mga post na sobra naman sila naghigpit ngaun..i dont know if i heard right…last week ng monday..inabot pa raw cla ng 8pm pra matapos,i think wla p cla cut off last week.

No worries na nga lang, i’ll just increase my patience. Thanks for answering Kath. There maybe valid reasons pa din. :)

      • Dito pa lang seeing and hearing the comments you can’t help but think that they’re looking for reasons to discourage you from applying. Can’t blame them din naman dahil sa abundance ng mga applications/applicants they have to deal with everyday. Pati mga makukulit na people.

      • first of all it’s their job to accommodate aspirants and not to discourage or humiliate them in any other way. Kung sila kaya may anak na nurse na gusto magpass how would they feel?

      • as much as they want to accommodate all the applicants, sila din kc mahihirapan. I really feel for those nurses na di nakapag submit, at naiintindihan ko din ang mga staff ng POEA, dahil kung tatanggapin nila lahat ng mga applicants baka abutin sila ng hating gabi.

      • I guess they said that because there are applicants who already have a background in the German language and can be exempted from the training.

      • I did not put “I am willing to undergo German Language Training” :) in my cover letter..but they accept it..

  33. Hello future GERMAN conurses! Sure kayo naka fasten mga docs sa white folder ha? because i’m about to do it na and I’m going to submit tom. Any advice please? I’ll tell you all my experience when i’m done. :)

  34. hi.good day. ask ko lang po panu yung dun sa german language part na requirement? meron ba ko kelangan itake na exam? kasi i have all the requirements exceptfor the german language part. thank you.

  35. gud am! out of the topic kelangan ko lang po ng immediate response…
pwede po kaya gamitin ang same email add to take appointment sa dfa for passport renewal for my father and me?? salamat po sa sasagot :)
