The major endocrine organs of the body include the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, pineal and thymus glands, the pancreas, and the gonads. The regulatory functions of the nervous and endocrine systems are similar in some aspects, but differ in such ways.

Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is classified as a metabolic bone disorder. It occurs when the creation of new bone doesn’t keep up with the removal of old bone. It also causes bones to become weak and brittle — so brittle that a fall or even mild stresses such as bending over or coughing can cause a fracture.
