WATCH: Nurses Are Much More than a Hand to Hold – They Innovate, Inspire, and Influence

It’s the fifth month of the year 2018 and it’s time once again to celebrate National Nurses Week! The event is observed annually from May 6 through May 12.

The final day aligns with the birthday of the founder of modern nursing: Florence Nightingale. Its primary purpose is to commemorate nurses and their principal role in the society.

Each year, the American Nurses Association (ANA) typically have a theme for the week and the organization granted this year’s theme, “Nurses: Inspire Innovate Influence.”

The short clip, also, breaks down and provides a scope on nurses leading the way to inspire and influence people. It also features the complex roles of nurses from being the primary caregivers to clinicians, advocates, innovators, collaborators, teachers, and leaders.

May this year’s celebration open the minds and hearts of many and acknowledge the efforts of nurses to inspire, innovate, and influence every day.
