American Nurse Heroes, a multichannel TV special celebrating the work of nurses, will premiere worldwide on June 24 on Discovery Life. After that, the program will be broadcasted on various other television networks.

Highlighting nurses’ role during the pandemic

Nurses have a profound impact on nations worldwide, as became exceedingly clear during the current health crisis. They are the foundation of health care – there for everyone at birth, in times of crisis throughout life, and at death.

The one-hour TV special, “American Nurse Heroes,” will feature true stories of nurses providing expert and compassionate care on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While nurses will share the challenges they have faced, the program also highlights innovative solutions created by nurses during these unusual times.

 “The men and women featured in the “American Nurse Heroes” TV special set the bar for nursing excellence and embody what makes nursing the most trusted profession in the U.S.,” said Greg Osborne, Founder, and President of HealthCom Media.

This year, the American Nurses Association (ANA), which celebrates its 125th anniversary this year, collaborated with Al Roker Entertainment and HealthCom Media in producing this TV special.

Al Roker Entertainment is a leading TV production company that has produced numerous award-winning TV programs. The company is led by Al Roker, an Emmy award-winning TV personality.

HealthCom Media publishes journals and innovative digital resources, including The Nurse Journal, the official journal of the ANA.
